    Thank you my dearest parents!

    Dear Son…

The day that you see me old, have patience and try to understand me…

If I get dirty when eating…if I can not dress…have patience. Remember the hours I spent teaching it to you.

If, when I speak to you, I repeat the same things thousand and one times…do not interrupt me… listen to me.

When you were small, I had to read to you thousand and one times the same story until you get to sleep…

When I do not want to have a shower, neither shame me nor scold me…

Remember when I had to chase you with thousand excuses I invented, in order that you wanted to bath…

When you see my ignorance on new technologies…give me the necessary time and not look at me with your mocking smile…

I taught you how to do so many thins… to eat good, to dress well…to confront life…

When at some moment I lose the memory or the thread of our conversation… let me have the necessary time to remember…and if I cannot do it, do not become nervous…as the most important thing is not my conversation but surely to be with you and to have you listening to me…

If ever I do not want to eat, do not force me I know well when I need to and when not.

When my tired legs do not allow me walk…give me your hand…the same way I did when you gave your first steps.

And when someday I say to you that I do not want to live any more…that I want to die…do not get angry…some day you will understand…

Try to understand that my age is not lived but survived.

Some day you will discover that, despite my mistakes, I always wanted the best thing for you and that I tried to prepare the way for you…

You must not feel sad, angry or impotent for seeing me near you. You must be next to me, try to understand me and to help me as I did it when you started living.

Help me to walk…help me to end my way with love and patience. I will pay you by a smile and by the immense love I have had always for you.

    I love you son…

    Your father

I have been living in this world for more than 24 years…people at this age could be a wife or even a mother, but yesterday I realized that I was still my parents little girl when I was in the emergency clinic lying on my mum’s leg and with dad holding my hands.

I never thought they must or should do anything for me, but I know they will…they would like to give me the best thing, the best love without any strings…

Remember last time they took me to the hospital together, they were so young and I was just a kid. But when the same people were in the same place years later, I would say my feeling has never changed…they are still the strongest couple in my heart and will always be my mental support.

I wish to have them see my wedding, have them watch their grandchildren, have them enjoy their happy lives with me; I wish to make cakes by myself on their diamond anniversary… wish to take them travel around the world…I will try…for the endless love they giving and have given to me, for have given birth to me, for every moment, every single second they share with me.

    Happiness is a voyage

    Written by an author unknown:

We convince ourselves that life will be better once we are married, have a baby, then another.

Then we get frustrated because our children are not old enough and that all will be well when they are older.

Then we are frustrated because they reach adolescence and we must deal with them. Surely we’ll be happier when they grow out of the teen years.

We tell ourselves our life will be better when our spouse gets his/her act together, when we have a nicer car, when we can take a vacation, when we finally retire.

The truth is that there is no better time to be happy than right now.

    If not, then when?

Your life will always be full of challenges. It is better to admit as much and to decide to be happy in spite of it all.

For the longest time, it seemed that life was about to start. Real life.

But there was always some obstacle along the way, an ordeal to get through, some work to be finished, some time to be given, a bill to be paid. Then life would start.

I finally came to understand that those obstacles were life.

That point of view helped me see that there isn’t any road to happiness.

    Happiness IS the road.

    So, enjoy every moment,

Stop waiting for school to end, for a return to school, to lose ten pounds, to gain ten pounds, for work to begin, to get married, for Friday evening, for Sunday morning, waiting for a new car, for your mortgage to be paid off, for spring, for summer, for fall, for winter, for the first or the fifteenth of the month, for your song to be played on the radio, to die, to be reborn…before deciding to be happy.

Happiness is a voyage, not a destination.

There is no better time to be happy than…NOW!

    Live and enjoy the moment.

                                                                                                             Author unknown

Now, think and try to answer these questions:

    1.      Name the 5 richest people in the world.

    2.      Name the last 5 Miss Universe winners.

    3.      Name the last 10Noble Prize winners

    4.      Name the last 10 winners of the Best Actor Oscar.

Can’t do it? Rather difficult, isn’t it?

    Don’t worry, nobody remembers that.

    Applause dies away!

    Trophies gather dust!

    Winners are soon forgotten.

    Now answer these questions:

    1.      Name 3 teachers who contributed to your education.

    2.      Name 3friends who helped you in your hour of need.

    3.      Think of a few people who made you fell special

    4.      Name 5 people that you like to spend time with.

More manageable? It’s easier, isn’t it?

The people who mean something to your life are not rated “the best”, don’t have the most money, haven’t won the greatest prizes…

They are the ones who care about you, take care of you, those who, no matter what, stay close by.
